Seven-Year Dual B.A./M.D. Program with GW

A joint program of The George Washington University Columbian College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, the seven year B.A./M.D. program is designed for high school seniors who exhibit academic excellence, leadership in activities, community service, and health care experiences, and have a strong desire to become a physician.

During their undergraduate years, students have the opportunity to attend seminars, travel abroad, be involved in a yearly service project and have other experiences in the field of healthcare. Students will devise a three-year academic experience that is appropriate for them with the support of the B.A./M.D. advisor and their major advisor.
Students must to complete all required undergraduate work including all general curriculum requirements, requirements for the major and receive the B.A. degree the third year of the program, before progression to the M.D. curriculum. A review committee makes the final recommendation concerning promotion to the M.D. curriculum at the end of the third year. No MCATs are required to progress to the M.D. program. Tuition for this program is set for the seven years.

The application process for the B.A./M.D. program is handled by Undergraduate Admissions. If you have further questions please visit the Undergraduate Admissions B.A./M.D. Web site or call (202) 994-6040.
