We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you as a new resident or fellow to The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Whether you are just graduating from medical school or have been in training at another institution, we hope you have a smooth transition to GWU SMHS. Orientation dates:

PGY-1

    June 18th, 19th and 20th

This orientation is for all first-year residents who have never participated in post-graduate training.

PGY-2 and above

     July 2

This orientation is for fellows and for residents who are new to GW and have completed at least one year of post-graduate training.

To facilitate getting you on-board and ready for your training, there are documents, tasks and training modules that need to be completed prior to your start date. Certain documents require “original” signatures, or ask for personal protected information (SSN, DOB) and must be returned to the GME Office by US Mail.  Others may be faxed or e-mailed as indicated. If you have questions or are unsure about how to complete something, please contact the GME Office at 202-994-3737.
